The next step in discovering more of the underwater world.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course enhances the skills that you learned on the PADI Open Water Diver Course.
Exploring specialty dives such as diving deeper, or identifying fish, or even diving at night. The 5 dives that you will choose are varied to give you a more complete and detailed look at the scuba diving world.
There are 5 dives in total that need to be taken during this course over 2 days.
You will complete a Navigation Dive and a Deep Dive, the rest is up to you. You can choose to dive on a wreck, dive at night, the options are varied.
You can start the course immediately after your PADI Open Water Diver Course if you want. Your diving certification will allow you to scuba dive to a maximum of 30 metres deep and is valid worldwide.
PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER SCHEDULE
Day 1 - PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
AM – Meet up with your instructor, discuss and choose your elective dives, then do some self study on your chosen dives.
PM – Head out on the dive boat and take 2 dives. (Potentially a 3rd if you choose a night dive.)
Day 2 - PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
AM – Head out with the dive boat and complete 2 more scuba dives.
PM – Relax, complete some paperwork, and you are finished!
PREREQUISITES
To take part in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course, you have to be a minimum of 12 years old.
You also need to be a certified PADI Open Water DIver (or equivalent).
You will need to show proof (your diving logbook) of your last dives which should be within 6 months. If it has been longer than 6 months, then we can conduct a Scuba Review for you before commencing the course.
You also need to have a minimum level of fitness and health with no medical conditions that would exclude you. We can provide you with a medical statement for you to fill out or take to your doctor if needed.
