Your first steps to exploring the underwater world starts with the PADI Open Water Diver Course.
One of the most popular courses in the world, this diver certification teaches you all the skills that you need to know to be able to scuba dive.
If you want to start your journey into marine conservation, then first you need to learn how to scuba dive.
Once completed, you will join millions of divers around the world and be part of the scuba diving club.
Your diving certification will allow you to scuba dive to a maximum of 18 metres deep and is valid worldwide.
This opens up the shallow coral reefs for you to explore with a dive buddy and begin your diving life. Let the fun begin!
PADI OPEN WATER DIVER SCHEDULE
Day 1 - PADI Open Water Diver
AM – Open Water Theory – Classroom videos and knowledge reviews with your instructor.
PM – Pool Session – Getting to know your scuba equipment and taking your first breaths underwater.
Day 2 - PADI Open Water Diver
AM – Open Water Theory – Classroom and Knowledge Reviews with your instructor.
PM – Pool session – Further skills training to ensure your safety, comfort and fun throughout the course.
Day 3 - PADI Open Water Diver
AM – Final exams and swim tests.
PM – Open Water Dives 1 & 2 – Time to head out to the ocean on a dive boat and see the real underwater world.
Day 4 - PADI Open Water Diver
AM – Open Water Dives 3 & 4 – Head back out to dive sites and complete your PADI Open Water Dive Course.
PM – Relax – Paperwork, certification and enjoy yourself.
PREREQUISITES
To take part in the PADI Open Water Diver Course, you have to be a minimum of 10 years old.
Basic swimming skills would be an advantage as you have to be able to swim 200 metres and also float for 10 minutes as part of the course requirements.
You also need to have a minimum level of fitness and health with no medical conditions that would exclude you. We can provide you with a medical statement for you to fill out or take to your doctor if needed.
